It's Still Coming Down

Last week I was sure that Spring was upon us. I broke out my flip flops and was happy as all get out. Little did I know that the 70 degree weather was just a tiny sliver of a break in what can otherwise be described as the most depressing Winter weather I've ever encountered.

Thursday it started snowing again and it hasn't stopped since. I guess I better put my flip flops back in long term storage. I cannot believe we didn't find out about the Winters here in Nebraska prior to our move more than a year ago. Gregg and I believed that Winter in Nebraska would be very much like those in Oklahoma.

All I can say is, we were INCORRECT, majorly INCORRECT. If I didn't think that a countdown of days until we are able to leave this sort of weather wouldn't be more depressing than the actual weather itself, I would start one here on my blog. But the number 665 (approximate) is daunting to say the least.

I know I complain about the weather here a lot, but I guess I was spoiled living in Virginia Beach for so many years. Little did I know...

Valentine's Day 2011

What a way to start a Monday! I woke up to this:

Waiting for me on the coffee table. Gregg got me the funky biker boot style of UGGs I've been wanting, and a bunch of my guilty pleasure, dark chocolate cherry cordials. Apparently there had been some story behind these chocolates that he'd been keeping to himself for a while now. When he went to purchase them at our local Hy-Vee, they were marked incorrectly and when Gregg pointed it out that they rang up at twice the price, the manager gave them all to him free.
Can't beat free chocolate!

Here's my fancy new UGG's.

Aren't they cute?! I just love them.
After school, Payton gave me a card. I had to scan it because, as usual, it was funny.
