Payton Turns Twelve

Payton turns twelve today. It's amazing how fast kids grow up. She had her birthday party last night with a few friends over. I have taken a few pictures of the girls having a good time.

The girls stayed over and got a little wonky.

Morning came all too quickly. Pancakes and bacon are two of Payton's favorite foods, so breakfast was in order.

Then Payton got to open presents from family...

Whats that? A wall mount? For what exactly?

Maybe for that new 32" TV!

Better than a Mythbusters T-shirt in my opinion.

Gregg and I got to rearrange her room so that the TV could be easier to view from her bed and chair.

That box Payton is looking in, that is filled with the crap I collected from all around her room. She'll get to spend a lot of time in there tomorrow, watching her new TV and going through that box-o-junk.

But not today, today we go SHOPPING with all that birthday money! Payton also gets to pick out where we eat dinner tonight. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PAYTON!!

Freakish Chalk Animals, By Payton

Payton has not been feeling all that great for about a week now. A head cold has kept her under the weather, but not letting that get her down, she let her creativity flow freely and keep her entertained.

Obviously spelling wasn't important on this art project. Note the foaming mouth.


These two animals were drawn yesterday and were hard to read, but this is a penguin, also known as "Green the Yellow Penguin".

And here is "Purple the Pink Octopus". Obviously irony was a theme on these two beasts.

This poor cat lost a paw, guess the name "Risky" was well deserved.

And to tie everything together, this rabid squirrel had to be drawn, because he gave Red rabies. I am not sure if this is creative or disturbing behavior. Maybe she's just feverish?
