South Dakota: Part 5 - Mount Rushmore

So Tuesday afternoon we finally made our way to Mount Rushmore. I took a ton of pictures, but here is the story...

I got this one of Bailey, Gregg, Austin, and Payton.  Nice lookin' group aren't they?!

Then I hand Bailey the camera and ask her to get a picture of me with the group. This is what I got. Where's Austin you ask? Oh he's there... just flying under Bailey's radar.

So I tell her to turn the camera sideways. This obvious direction was hard to understand and luckily I have 3 more photos just like this to prove it.  Finally I walked over and turned the camera for her...

Funny, funny girl. But she got us all in the picture.  Good job Bailey! hehehee

Then Payton took the camera and got one of just Gregg and I.
Here's Payton and her best friend, Bailey, posing in front of the 4 old guys carved in rock.

We tried to replicate a boat load of photos I'd seen where people were picking the noses of George. Mine didn't turn out so well.  I think it was the angle. Oh well...

Then we went into the gift shop to do a little looking.  Bailey thought this would make for an awesome facebook profile picture.

Austin flattened a penny.

And Payton played along with the antlers too.

Here we all are on the way to the truck.  We're not tourists.  Never. Not us.

On the way out Payton had to make her own representation of Mount Rushmore on her fingers. I thought it was too cute not to capture. Turned out pretty good in my opinion. Too bad her thumb was all orange from her failed attempt at henna tattooing at the library the Friday previous.
