On our fifteenth wedding anniversary, we prepared ourselves a little picnic lunch on the grounds at Dromoland Castle Hotel. The hotel offered a selection of picnic lunches prepared by their chef, but I felt that €30 Euro a piece (around $40 USD EACH) for a ham and cheese sandwich, bottled water and a candy bar was a little outrageous, plus, the picnic lunch I really wanted from their selection was around €160 Euro each (which is $260USD EACH).
We had a great time and it was one of the most memorable times I had in Ireland.

Here's our set up, a bunch of grocery items we picked up the day before on our way back from the Cliffs of Moher.

Can you imagine a more beautiful view?

Here's our lunch: Dubliner cheddar cheese, Jaffa cake cookies, water crackers, wine, bottled water, salami, breads, brie, butter, mustard and the most delicious tomatoes of all time.

Here's to fifteen years together!

Mid way in to our picnic lunch, this guy rolled up.

And not soon after rolling quite a few kegs into the castle bar, he pulled away.

I secretly wished he would have brought me over a pint on his way out.

After we ate, Gregg fell asleep. This is a regular occurrence for him.

And we made quite a dent in the snacks.
I cannot imagine a better way to spend an afternoon in Ireland.
