Movie Days

This summer, Payton has been reading novels from the "100 best novels of all time". But she's 11 and can only get through so many. Therefore I have taken up weekly movies that cover some of these novels. Last week we watched "Little Women", which she wasn't thrilled about, but I justify her pain with the fact that she IS learning something from these books and films.

Here I set up the tripod to take a photo of us in my bedroom while we watched said movie.

So far she has read: The Old Man and the Sea by Earnest Hemingway, Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk, and Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. This month she has her choice of A Tale of Two Cities, or Madame Bovary.

Our lined up movies for the time before we move are: Little Women, Pride and Prejudice, Les Miserables, Count of Monte Cristo, Jane Eyre, The Grapes of Wrath, Dracula, Atonement, and Great Expectations.
